Terry Gross began her radio career in 1973
at public radio station WBFO in Buffalo. In 1975,
she became producer and host of "Fresh Air: at
WHYY in Philadelphia. The show premiered
nationally in 1987. The 1994 Peabody Award citation
praises its “probing questions, revelatory
interviews and unusual insights.” In 2003, Terry Gross won the
prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.
