Product Description

Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distills three thousand years of the history of power into 48 well-explicated laws. This bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun-Tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other infamous strategists. The 48 Laws of Power will fascinate any reader interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control.

Reviews/Praise

“It’s The Rules for suits. . . . Machiavelli has a new rival. And Sun-tzu better watch his back.”
      —New York Magazine

Author Bio

ROBERT GREENE is the best-selling author of The 48 Laws of Power and other works, and is a self-described "history nut." He was inspired to learn more about power while working at an art school in Venice. The "behind the arrasstabbing antics" he witnessed there were, he realized, no different from those that had been played out throughout history.
